Our Peer Mentor Program at Maudcare

At MaudCare, we take a unique approach to participant support. This reflects our belief in creating genuine, meaningful connections between participants and their mentors, going beyond the traditional support worker role.

How We Select Peer Mentors

We carefully match our Peer Mentors with participants based on a variety of factors, such as shared interests, personal goals, communication styles, and individual needs. By prioritising compatibility, we ensure that participants receive not just practical support, but also encouragement and companionship from someone who truly understands them. Once a match is made, the same Peer Mentor continues working with the participant, allowing for the development of lasting relationships built on trust.

Why This is Different

Unlike traditional support services, which often focus solely on task-based assistance, our Peer Mentors aim to foster personal growth and independence. They act as role models, empowering participants to take ownership of their goals while building trust and friendship.

Personalised Support For You

By maintaining a consistent relationship, our Peer Mentors are able to provide tailored support, creating unique, personalised programs that align with each participant’s goals and journey towards independence. This approach helps participants feel more secure and supported, while Peer Mentors develop an understanding of their needs.
