Supported Independent Living(SIL)

At MaudCare, our Supported Independent Living (SIL) services are designed to provide participants with a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where they can thrive.

As a family-run business, we understand the importance of creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere that feels like home.
What sets us apart is our commitment to holistic care, focusing on the well-being of the whole person—physically, emotionally, and socially. As well as connection, communication and collaboration with families and support networks to enhance the care we provide…
  • Dedicated, Participant-Specific Peer Mentor Team – each participant has their own Maudcare peer mentor team, with no external or agency staff involved. This ensures consistent faces, strong trust, and genuine relationships, while the team works closely together and stays in constant communication to deliver the best tailored support.

  • Lifestyle Built Around the Individual – supports are shaped around the participant’s interests, hobbies, goals, and daily routines, creating a fulfilling and meaningful lifestyle.

  • Healthy Communication & Integrity – we maintain open, constant communication with families and all involved services, ensuring collaboration and transparency resulting in the best possible outcomes for the participant.

  • Building Daily Living Skills – participants are supported with cooking, cleaning, laundry, personal care, and budgeting in ways that build confidence and independence at home.

  • Community Connection from Home – SIL participants are supported to engage with neighbours, local services, and social opportunities, while always having their home as a safe base.

  • Nurturing, Comfortable Homes – we support participants to make their house feel welcoming, safe, and personalised, helping them create a space they are proud to call home.

… We carry these values into our SIL services by creating personalised support plans that respect each participant’s individuality and goals. Our approach goes beyond just meeting daily needs; we work closely with participants & families to help them build independence, engage in meaningful activities, and connect with their communities.
We foster a person-centred approach, empowering participants by teaching essential living skills and helping them develop the
abilities they need to thrive on their own. At MaudCare, we ensure participants not only feel supported but also valued as friends and equals so they can navigate their journey towards greater independence.
