NDIS Support for Participants

Let's get to know each other.

We will talk to you about what services we offer and how we can tailor these services to link with your goals in your NDIS plan. We will discuss and understand the support you require and what you want to achieve through Maudcare.

We may not be able to offer the exact support you need and we will advise you of this at the time of request. We want to offer the best support possible that aligns with YOU and realise we may not be able to provide this.

Access our support

Once we have worked through what services you want and the support we can offer, we will give you a quote and a document that explains the support and costs to you.

If you are happy with the quote we will draft a service agreement. This agreement will outline the services and support you will receive, the hours you will commit to us and the cost.  The start date and anything that needs to be arranged before your service starts will also be included. This could include support plans, behaviour support plans, medical support plans and documents that are integral to you.

NDIS Support for Families

Holistic relationship building

Families are important to us, we realise the importance of family and want to create not just a relationship with participants but also their families.  We will talk to you, help you understand the services we offer and how they may potentially help your family member reach their goals.

Once we have worked through what services your family member wants and the support we can offer, we will give you a quote and a document that explains the support and costs to you.

If you are happy with the quote we will draft a service agreement. This agreement will outline the services and support you will receive, the hours you will commit to us and the cost.  The start date and anything that needs to be arranged before their service starts will also be included. This could include support plans, behaviour support plans, medical support plans and documents that are integral to your family member.

Customised supports

At Maudcare Disability Support Services, we believe in transparency, fairness, and genuine value for our participants and their families. Below is a breakdown of how our pricing
structure aligns with the most recent NDIS Price Guide, and what’s included in each component — with no hidden costs or surprises.

Get in touch with us here. We would love to hear from you.

Is Maudcare NDIS registered?

Yes, we’re fully NDIS registered! This means we can support and deliver services to all participants with NDIS funding across both Core and Capacity Building categories.
We also proudly support individuals who are not currently on the NDIS and wish to self- fund their supports, as well as students who require a tailored educational or developmental program in place of traditional schooling, with funding often provided through their school.
No matter the funding source, our goal is always the same — to provide personalised, meaningful supports that empower each person to achieve their goals.

Our supports are entirely designed and tailored to meet each participant’s individual needs.
This includes pick-up and drop-off arrangements, personalised daily schedules, and activities that reflect each person’s goals and interests.
Every participant is unique — so whether it’s adjusting support times, including specific community activities, or meeting unique personal requirements, we’re here to make it work.
Just reach out to us to discuss your needs, and we’ll tailor a program that fits perfectly around the participant and their goals.

Because we provide such a broad range of supports and services, Maudcare can draw from a variety of NDIS line items across both Core and Capacity Building funding categories.
We work closely with families, support coordinators, and plan managers to ensure each participant’s supports are delivered within their plan’s scope while meeting their goals effectively.
Simply reach out to us, and we’ll walk you through how we can align the supports with the participant’s current funding allocation to make the most of their NDIS plan.

What it is:
The Centre Capital Cost covers the overhead expenses/maintenance/operating costs of having a facility available to participants. This line item is only charged for centre based supports.

What it includes:
Access to our inclusive and fully equipped day program facility.

All materials and supplies for our internal programs, including cooking, arts & crafts, and creative workshops.(Many other Day services invoice for this separately)

Basic refreshments, such as tea, coffee, and light nibbles, offered daily to create a welcoming and social environment.(Many other Day services invoice for this separately)

Access to our mini hobby farm and animals (including horses, goats, chickens, llamas, and guinea pigs).

Maintenance, cleaning, utilities, and insurance.

Wear and tear on the facility and its assets over time.

Why it matters:
Many day services charge participants separately for program materials, cooking ingredients, or even basic refreshments.

At Maudcare, these are all included — because we believe participants deserve to enjoy their day without worrying about extra costs.
Our inclusive approach ensures everyone can participate equally in every activity, whether it’s cooking lunch together, enjoying morning tea, or engaging in creative projects.

What it is:
The Establishment Fee is a one-off charge that allows us to properly set up and coordinate supports when a participant first joins Maudcare. This work ensures that each participant’s program is carefully designed, planned, and aligned with their needs, goals, and preferences — before the first shift even begins. The fee is there for implementing providers of the above item numbers to establish the participants program, Many providers do not charge this as many providers do not actually do the necessary work to establish and set up a program/team for the participant customised to their needs, disabilities, goals, behaviours, and support methods. At Maudcare, we do!

What it includes:
Matching the participant with the most suitable Peer Mentors and creating a strong, consistent support team.

Development of a customised timetable and activity plan aligned with each participant’s goals and needs.

Administrative setup including documentation and configuration within our internal Rostering and client database system — such as shift notes, shift tasks, support instructions, documentation of participant relevant to successful support, addresses, specific support methods all accessible to the entire Participant Peer Mentor team.

Internal staff training, communications, and correspondence tailored specifically to each participant’s support needs before the first shift begins.

Constant Collaboration and communication with families and guardians

Internal team meeting with Participant peer mentor team, providing supports for specific participant, in order to ensure everyone is up to date with needs of client and support methods.

Constant Collaboration and communication to external team including Behavioural practitioners, OT’s, Support coordinators and regular external support workers to ensure we are armed with all information regarding to participant to ensure successful supports.

Rostering and scheduling to create a consistent team structure, including any required changes to maintain continuity of supports with chosen Peer Mentors.

All off the above tasks are completed before the initial support shift has even taken place.

Why it matters:
At Maudcare, we don’t take a “one size fits all” approach — we build a team around every participant. Each person is supported by Peer Mentors who are well-versed in their support methods, client information sheets, BSPs, routines, and preferences and experience of specific participants disabilities, conditions and needs.

Often, before a participant’s first shift even begins, our management team has already held multiple internal meetings to design their program, structure the roster, and prepare support documentation. In many cases, we’ll conduct at least one full team meeting to ensure
everyone involved is confident, informed, and ready to deliver consistent, quality care from day one. This approach ensures that by the time supports begin, a dedicated, well-prepared team is already in place — familiar with every aspect of the participant’s needs, strategies, and goals. It’s a proactive and structured process that sets participants and their Peer Mentor teams up for success from the very beginning.
This is a huge part of why we have such successful outcomes in our participants lives. We go above and beyond for our clients and their families ❤️ What we say, is what we do.

What it is:
The Non-Face-to-Face charge covers the essential behind-the-scenes work done by our team to support participants effectively and safely.

What it includes:
Writing daily notes and incident reports.

Communication and coordination with families, SCs, and allied health professionals.

Developing personalised programs and activity plans.

Specific Staff training tailored for the individual, supervision, and team meetings specific to participant care.

Why it matters:
These activities ensure continuity, safety, and quality across all supports — allowing us to maintain the high standards that define Maudcare.
A general rule of thumb at Maudcare is that we charge 0.33 of an hour of delivered daily supports to cover non–face-to-face costs.
This accounts for the time spent outside of direct support that’s essential to quality service delivery

What it is:
Travel costs are applied in line with the NDIS 2025–2026 Price Guide to cover the expenses associated with transport and travel during supports.

How it works:
Maudcare charges $1.00 per kilometre for travel completed while supporting a participant — for example, when transporting a participant to and from community activities, appointments, or other outings.

Maudcare may also charge for travel time or distance required to pick up a participant and commence supports, as well as the return trip from the participant’s home back to Maudcare or the Peer Mentor’s next location.

This may include up to a maximum of 30 minutes each way (to and from) in accordance with the NDIS Price Guide, and only where this has been agreed upon within the participant’s Service Agreement and confirmed between Maudcare and the participant or their family.

Why it matters:
These travel costs ensure participants receive consistent, flexible, and safe transport options, allowing our Peer Mentors to provide both community access and in-home supports without any hidden or unexpected charges.

These contributions go directly to supporting our Peer Mentors, helping them cover their travel time and expenses so they can continue delivering reliable, quality support to participants across all settings.

All charges are fully compliant with the most recent NDIS Price Guide and reflect our commitment to ethical practice, inclusivity, and genuine participant benefit.

We encourage open communication and are always happy to provide additional clarity or cost breakdowns when required.
